Fine Wine, Gran Malbec Piedra Negra 2001 /04/09 - Argentina 🇦🇷
Gran Malbec, Piedra Negra ( Blackstone)
This wine was born out of Francois Lurton’s desire to make a refined and elegant Argentine Malbec, very expressive and aromatic, it is very Burgundian in style.
In 1999 they produced their first Piedra Negra (named after the black foothills of the Andes).
Even from the first vintage, it was all they hoped it would be, complex, fine and elegant with a purity of flavor. Today this wine has become one of the world’s benchmark Malbecs.
It has high altitude Malbec that is altogether bright and tense, with a touch of sappiness beneath the ripeness.
